Charlene Hertzberg, LCSW
Charlene Hertzberg is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working in the position of therapist at RHS. She began working at RHS in 2024. Charlene has been working as a therapist since 2021, prior to which she held several mental health-related positions. Charlene completed her Master of Social Work degree at Northwest Nazarene University, where she graduated with honors. She completed her undergraduate work at California State University San Bernardino. She is certified in Child Centered Play Therapy, TBRI practitioner, and is currently finishing up her Registered Play Therapist credentialing.
Charlene is a strengths-based, person-centered therapist who specializes in treating children and adults with a history of trauma. When working with adults, she typically utilizes a combination of therapies, which include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). When working with children, Charlene uses play therapy including tools from EMDR, IFS, Trauma Play, Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and Child Centered Play Therapy. Charlene particularly enjoys working with foster and adoptive children and families and has significant training as well as personal experience in the special needs of these families.
Charlene’s favorite part of being a therapist is having the opportunity to walk with individuals and families as they heal and discover how amazing they are.
