Liz earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree in 2006 from Utah State University.  After graduating, Liz started her social work career in Child Protection in Utah, working for 7 years as an investigator.  She moved with her family to Idaho in 2014 and continued working in Idaho with Child Protection for 7 more years.  In 2017, Liz earned her Masters of Social Work degree from Boise State University.  Liz continued working for the State of Idaho with Children’s Mental Health.  Liz has a passion for working with youth and has worked to develop programs in the community to help adolescents who need more intensive services.  Liz is trauma-informed and uses diverse styles of therapy, pulling from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Person-Centered Therapy Styles.   Liz works with adolescents who struggle with mental health and substance use.  Liz is GAIN and EMDR certified.  Outside of work, Liz enjoys spending time baking, shopping, watching her son's football games, camping, 4 wheeling, being in the sun, and spending time with her family and friends.
