Erica Finney

Erica Finney, LCSW

Erica Finney is a licensed social work professional with over 30 years of experience in the field of social work, including more than 12 years specializing in mental health services. She earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Idaho State University and her master’s degree in social work from Boise State University. Erica's path into social work was shaped by her own life experiences and a passion for empowering connection, support, hope, and helping others feel seen and heard on their journey in life.

Erica's clinical approach is person-centered and strength-based, grounded in the belief that everyone possesses the capacity for growth, resilience, and healing. She integrates evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). She strives to create a safe, warm, and inviting environment where clients feel supported and free to express themselves openly.

Erica relocated to Idaho in 2001 and has deep roots in Wyoming and Kentucky, which continue to influence her values around community, authenticity, and connection. Outside of her professional life, Erica enjoys spending time with her dogs, Lewis and Lucy, and cherishes the years spent raising her children. Erica has a deep appreciation for the great outdoors and enjoys paddleboarding, camping, hiking, and spending as much time in nature as possible. She is also passionate about understanding how fitness and nutrition contribute to both physical and mental well-being, and values incorporating this holistic perspective into her life and work.
